ABOUT OUR BREEDING POLICY
We strongly focus on health in our breeding programme. Both physical and mental health. We feed a diet solely on Raw Meaty Bones. We strive for dense bone, solid musculature and spectacular heads. We start training our dogs right from 6 weeks and they go everywhere with us. We are a small kennel and have only one to two litters a year. Our breeding and show girls are our house dogs. So all our miniature bull terriers grow up with 3 small children and our 12 year old Chihuahua. Once our girls have finished their show career and have a couple of litters, we like to find great retirement homes for them. they have given a lot to us so we return the favour by giving them a life where they get to sloth on a lounge, and lie in the sun. We don't believe in dogs wasting their lives in a kennel bored. So we don't kennel our girls. We are very choosy with our retirement homes, and there is conditions which go with our girls. They must never be re-homed, sold, passed on, given away they must come straight back to us. So if you are interested in a Miniature Bull Terrier, who is fully house trained, fantastic with children, other dogs, trained on lead consider an adult dog. At the moment in Australia, Breeders of Miniature Bull Terriers are allowed to breed the Miniature Bull Terrier to the Bull Terrier. We call this an 'Interbred' mating. This helps with trying to lessen the impact of PLL. Primary Lens Luxation where the lens in the eye can fall forwards or backwards in varying degrees usually from the age of 4 onwards. As the Bull terrier does not carry the gene, only some Minis do ,all pups from an 'Interbred' mating are guaranteed not to be affected. But they may carry one part of the gene. All puppies of an 'Interbred' mating can only be registered as Miniature Bull Terriers. At the moment we are focusing on doing 'Interbred' matings. We have found that our size is still small( around 15 inches) and we have better confirmation and head and bone quality. Trevor and Liz Bennett 02 45753912
